Rebuilding Hope After Great Disappointment
Allow God to heal the sting of a closed door, believing that His redirections are divine protections.
Devotional
'And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit.' When a dream collapses or an opportunity vanishes, disappointment can easily morph into cynicism. But in God's economy, delays are not denials and detours often lead to His highest purposes.
Scripture References
Pray With Me
Loving Father, my heart aches over this shattered hope and closed door. I thought this was the path, and it hurts to see it end. Forgive my anger and questioning of Your timing. Heal the bruising of my disappointment. Help me trust that You see the bigger picture. When the fig tree does not blossom, yet I will rejoice in the Lord. Rebuild my hope on things eternal that can never be taken away. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Scriptural Declaration
Hope in God does not disappoint. Though one door closed, God is opening a better path according to His perfect will.
