A Prayer for Your Children

Father, thank You for the children I love.

You know who they are becoming and what they need in this season. Give them wisdom in their decisions and courage when they face pressure.

Surround them with healthy friendships and trustworthy adults. Protect them from influences that would exploit their insecurity or pull them toward harm.

Help them grow in compassion, honesty, responsibility, and resilience. Teach them how to recover from mistakes without hiding them.

Give them a faith that is sincere rather than merely inherited. Let their questions lead them toward truth instead of fear.

Guide their education, work, relationships, gifts, and future choices. Keep me from trying to control the parts of their lives that belong to their own growth.

Give me wisdom to encourage without flattering, correct without crushing, and release them gradually as they become more responsible.

Where I have made mistakes as a parent or caregiver, help me own them and repair what I can.

Lead my children into lives marked by wisdom, courage, love, and faith.
