A Prayer for Someone in the Hospital

Father, I bring this person I love before You.

You see them in this hospital room, and You know every diagnosis, test result, pain, fear, and unanswered question. Be near to them in a way they can recognize.

Give wisdom to the medical team. Help doctors and nurses notice important details, communicate clearly, and choose the right course of care.

Bring healing where healing is needed. Relieve pain, restore strength, and protect against complications. When the process is slow, give patience and endurance.

Comfort the family and friends who are waiting, watching, and trying to make decisions. Help us support one another instead of letting fear divide us.

Give us courage to ask good questions and humility to receive help. Provide financially and practically for the needs that come with illness.

Above all, let this person know they are not alone. Surround them with compassionate people and fill this difficult place with moments of peace.

We trust You with what we understand and what we do not.
