Devotional

'Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad.' Which of you by worrying can add a single cubit to his stature? Worry is like a rocking chair: it gives you something to do, but it doesn't get you anywhere. Let the Word of God interrupt the spiral.

Pray With Me

Lord God, I confess that worry has become an unconscious habit in my life. I replay scenarios, calculate risks, and try to manage every outcome. Forgive my lack of childlike trust. I surrender this loop of rumination to You. Let the peace of Christ rule as umpire in my heart. When anxious thoughts arise, teach me to immediately convert them into prayers of thanksgiving. Settle my soul in Your grace. Amen.

Scriptural Declaration

I break agreement with chronic worry. The peace of Christ rules in my heart, and I rest in God’s sovereign care.
